This is our primary flying location which is located on Gainsborough Road in Thousand Oaks. Our permit allows us to use the field on Saturdays and Sundays provided the field is not being used by the school or by an organized sports activity. This is a flat field that we use for winch, high-start or hand launched planes. (No power planes of any type are allowed.) We typically fly between 9am and 1pm).
Click here for a copy of the field permit and here for a copy of the club charter.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR 72MHz FLIERS -- We now have a frequency sharing agreement with an electric club who fly at Conejo Creek South. This agreement restricts the use of some channels at Redwood.

IMPORTANT NO-FLY ZONE INFORMATION
A no-fly-zone from the northeast corner of the upper field along the chain link fence to the east of us to the southeast corner of the lower field. (This is the fence behind where we launch). There will be no plane allowed east of this fence (in other words over the houses) from ground level to launch height (approximately 200 ft.).
The intent of this rule is safety, to eliminate the chance of ever hitting the power lines or landing on a house. A pilot would not want to enter this zone at launch height (200ft.)for fear of a chance of going below the limit, they should enter at a height higher than the limit and not going any farther back than they can safely return to the field at a altitude of 200ft. above the east chain link fence. This rule shall apply to all sailplanes including hand launch.
